ELECTORAL ROLL

The Electoral Roll for Church of England churches are updated every year in time for the Annual Parochial Church Meeting (APCM), which takes place after the accounts are audited for the previous year, usually before the 30 April. Every six years a completely new roll is prepared. All ready on the Roll? There’s no need to re-apply this year.

Date for your diary: Our APCM this year will be held on Sunday 30 April at 11am in church.

The church’s electoral roll is the register of its voting members. Electoral rolls provide an indication of the real membership and strength of the church. Enrolment is a way of saying “I belong” and is an act of commitment to St John’s Church and the Church as a whole. It opens the way for greater involvement in the life of the Church at parish, deanery, diocesan and national levels.

PLEASE NOTE: you can join the electoral roll at any point in the year. To see eligibility and to complete a form, please read and complete this online form. (Printed copies are also at the back of church). If you are already on the roll there is no need to re-apply.

If you have any questions please contact one of the Church Wardens or our Electoral Roll Officer/PCC Secretary, Tim Roberson [email protected]
