Preparations are starting for our fabulous Christmas Tree Festival. Here is our wonderful “patchwork” tree that has been erected today, we will have over 40 trees available to see this weekend (26th, 27th and 28th November), why not come and join us to see our fantastic Grade II listed building decorated to the max!

Christmas Tree Festival 2021
With only two weeks until the start of our three day Christmas Tree Festival 2021 “Colours of the Rainbow”, have you got your TreeFest Concert tickets yet?
On Saturday 27th November at 7pm, our talented performers include;

- The Sandilands Shanty group (the local equivalent of Fishermen’s Friends!)

- Heidi Acraman (Opera Singer)

Shrublands Foodbank
These are the items required for the food bank this month. Donations can be left in the porch at church, taken direct to the food bank (Mondays 9am-12 noon or Thursdays 12 noon-3pm), or left in the donation box at the Shirley Co-Op. Many thanks for your continued support.

The Shirley Scarecrow Festival is now on!
The 2nd year of the Shirley Scarecrow Festival is now on and the 30 scarecrows look amazing including the ones at our church.
Here’s a trail map of all the locations and the Just Giving page if you’d like to donate to the wonderful Charity Demelza Hospice Care for Children. You can also donate at 60, Bennetts Way if you’d prefer. Please show your appreciation to the wonderful Scarecrow builders and the generous community and businesses by giving whatever you can. We hope you enjoy the festival and have fun and huge thanks to Stef England for organising it.

A service to commemorate the exact 150th anniversary of the death of Margaret Ruskin, néeCock (2 September 1781-5 December 1871), buried with her husband, John James Ruskin (1785-1864), in the churchyard of St John the Evangelist.
