at 3.30pm we will be showing the family film “Elf” – Buddy (Will Ferrell) was accidentally transported to the North Pole as a toddler and raised to adulthood among Santa’s elves. Unable to shake the feeling that he doesn’t fit in, the adult Buddy travels to New York, in full elf uniform, in search of his real father. As it happens, this is Walter Hobbs (James Caan), a cynical businessman. After a DNA test proves this, Walter reluctantly attempts to start a relationship with the childlike Buddy with increasingly chaotic results. Read more here.

The Banshees of Inisherin

at 7.30pm we will be showing the Irish dark comedy The Banshees of Inisherin – Set on a remote, fictional island off the west coast of Ireland, the film stars Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleeson as two lifelong friends who find themselves at an impasse when one abruptly ends their relationship, with alarming consequences for both of them; Kerry Condon and Barry Keoghan also star. It reunites Farrell and Gleeson, who previously worked together on McDonagh’s directorial debut, In Bruges. Read more here.

A Festive Cinema Returns 17th December

at 4pm we will be showing “The Muppets Christmas Carol” – Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, Fozzie and the entire cast of the Muppet universe come together to re-tell Charles Dicken’s immortal classic “A Christmas Carol” This was the first time the Muppets appeared on screen since Jim Henson’s death in 1990. Michael Caine gives a magnificent performance as Ebenezer Scrooge in a world full of muppet comedy and almost scary performances from the “Ghosts of Christmas past, present, and yet to come”
