Season of Lay Ministry

The Season will take place between Sunday 7 January and Sunday 28 January, during Epiphanytide.  The Season is designed to encourage people to think about whether God might be calling them into new things. We hope that the Season of Lay Ministries will encourage people to think about whether God is calling them into one of the recognised Lay Ministries that we offer here in the Diocese of Southwark or simply into new things in their life.

Signs of Hope for the Holy Lands as Christmas approaches

The al Ahli Anglican Hospital was the last hospital to cease functioning in Northern Gaza, and now it has become the first to reopen. After closing two weeks ago amidst heavy bombardment, al-Ahli Anglican Hospital is once again open to serve the hundreds of wounded still remaining in Gaza City. Find out more about this – and other signs of hope for the peoples of the Holy Lands here.

Bishop Christopher asks that you please consider whether you may be able to make a financial donation to support the Archbishops’ joint appeal for the Ahli Hospital in Gaza, and the ministries of the Episcopal Diocese of Jerusalem – perhaps through donations at your crib or carol services. Contributions can be made online here.
