Every year The Shrublands Trust, whose activities include running the Food Bank, hold a family fun day on the ‘green’ outside the Shrublands Shops. This year it is on Sunday 16th June.    Â
There will be food, games, raffles etc. Bev, the organiser, has requested jam jars filled not with jam or marmalade but with small gifts. Ideas for gifts include sweets, pencils and erasers, hair accessories, really anything that will fit into a jar. Would any of you be able to donate one (or more)? I realise that this is very short notice but if you can help please bring them to church on 9th or 16th June. The event runs from 2.00 to 6.00p.m. and all are most welcome.
Thank you for all the help you already give to the Trust.

This Sunday see’s informal worship return to St Johns
As the name suggests this is a much more relaxed service You can help yourself to coffee and cake during the service and the music is has a more modern slant.
Here is a selection from this weeks service
There is also no “sermon”, but the teaching section is much more interactive – you can be as involved in this as you wish.
If you have never tried this before it would be great to see you – everyone is welcome.
