In an illustrious career spanning 69 years, David has collected many funny anecdotes about famous actors and their often outrageous behaviour, especially when he played Frankie Abbott in the hugely successful ITV Series “Please Sir!” (1967) and “The Fenn StreetGang” (1972). Hear what happened in LWT’s Bar when the cast met up with Tommy Cooper. Interestingly “Please Sir!” is currently being repeated on the Rewind TV channel. David’s first notable appearance was in 1957 aged just 13 when he played Sir Laurence Olivier’s grandson along with Vivien Leigh in “Titus Andronicus” in a European Tour that was the first production to go beyond the Iron Curtain at the height of the Cold War. David’s book “Laurence Olivier and Vivien Leigh – The Final Curtain” was published in 2022. Apart from his Film and TV work, he has written ten crime novels, a children’s book and his most recent non fiction book “The Film Buff’s Guide – A Humourous History of Cinema” which was published in 2023. His latest offering is “Tales From Soho” an anthology of fictional stories located in Soho during various decades.
