Call to Prayer

Damian Luke writes: Most of you will no doubt be aware, in the last couple of weeks of the stabbings that have taken place in Croydon. Added to that, we have also had an increase in the number of robberies, knife incidents and disorder involving students from schools across the borough.

Sadly, the areas around Church Street have become the new crime hotspots. In the past 4 weeks, there have been serious incidents around this area, which some of us see as a call on Croydon Churches to rise up again and prayer walk the new area.

It would be nice if we can get 200-300 people out on Sunday 2nd April to start a prayer walk at 3pm to Church Street. We will encourage people to arrive early so we can start promptly.

Together, we can, through our prayers, confront the evil forces that want to destroy our young people

Let’s make our presence felt and let’s keep our streets safe.
